Here is a compilation brought to us courtesy of Metal-Rules.com that features both previously released and exclusive never before available cuts from many bands among the underground Metal scene. It is always neat to get a compilation of some of the newer bands out there rather than having to download an mp3, there is just something about having some type of tangible product in front of you that makes it groovier.
This compilation features the whole spectrum of the Heavy Metal genre. From The Death Metal cut from Dark Order, the Stoner Metal of Persuader, to the Retro Metal of Overlorde, the bases are covered here. One of the high points is a track by Jag Panzer, that is exclusive to the compilation called "Forsaken," and this is not a demo by any means.
The Majority of the tracks on this album are demo quality, with production that was done on a budget, which is understandable, because all of us who were in bands understand the evolving process of moving up the production ladder. Most of the bands have potential, you can tell that little more work in the studio is needed and personal music growth may need to evolve a little more as well, but again, there is potential. The songs are strong, regardless of the fact that some of the cuts are almost demo quality, but Metal compilations in general help support the genre and scenes and the bands that continue to carry the torch.
