Lot's of work and moving into my new apartment has meant that not quite as many albums were giving attention this last month. Some interesting stuff passed my way lately though, so here we go with a few but important and quite dark shrouded albums.perhaps I'm mentally preparing for the season.

Bon Jovi - These Days
Releasing a new album sometimes makes you want to dig deeper into the older ones too. This is the bands darkest output, dripping with social realism of the painful kind. A deep and atmospheric collection that apart from a few dull elements keeps giving.

Opeth - Blackwater Park
It's sombre shine keeps taunting me, I'm still amazed that something this dark manages to be down right beautiful too.

Riverside - Second Life Syndrome
A great Progressive Metal band from Poland having their own remarkable, hypnotic and deeply melancholic approach. atmosphere is the key word.

Sieges Even - The Art Of Navigating By The Stars
I am honestly blown away by the sheer magnitude, emotional range and musical comprehensiveness of this genius piece of progressive wonder. It kind of embraces you, keeps you safe while it expands your horizon. I keep spinning The Lonely Views Of Condors all the time. At the moment this is my album of the year.

Symphony X - The Odyssey
The perfect mix of Power and Progressive Metal, aggressiveness and melody, darkness and light. One of the best albums in my entire collection.

Vision Divine - The Perfect Machine
Last years Stream Of Consciousness was a very good album and this one follows style-wise in the same stream so to speak. Not exactly mind blowing but a competent piece of work marked by elevating vocals and keys with massive textures.
