Playlist - July/August 2005 - Morten
Talisman - Humanimal
Not as good as Life, but such a great hard rock album, played with super duper metal attitude.
Pentera - Cowboys From Hell
Timeless classic that just never grows old.
Megadeth - The System Has Failed
One of the best comeback albums ever!
JORN - Worldchanger
There's no point in hiding from Jorn Lande's amazing voice, and this album just makes it even harder!
Opeth - Deliverance
Such a great album, one of those you just cannot get enough of.
ComMuniC - Conspiracy in Mind
Great debut album by some great friends, you sure rock guys!!
Control Denied - Fragile Art of Existence
My all time favorite album, this is just it for me!
Hades - The Downside
I just love the energetic and powerful voice of Alan Tecchio combined with Dan Lorenzo's heavy heavy riffs! (Amazingly they wrote the tune Ground Zero N.Y.C. way before 911).
Skidrow - Subhuman Race
A very overlooked album by a great great band. This album is just so together and very far style wise from one of the greatest hair metal albums of all times, the Skid Row debut Skid Row.
PainmuseuM - Metal For Life
Old School metal when it's best!
DIO - Strange Highways
The most overlooked DIO album to date. HEAVY!
Freak Kitchen - Organic
I love the fact that there's a dvd included with this album, great little thing for the fans!! A very melodic outing from the mad cow loving Swedes.

Comment by Matt (Anonymous) - Saturday, July 30, 2005 | Dio + Freak Kitchen = Win. It's refreshing to see someone who really appreciates Dio's overlooked albums. Personally I think I'd take Highways over Holy Diver, the music and lyrics are more interesting and I hate the 80's vibe... |

I'm with you 100% with regards to Highways compared to Holy Diver!
Personally I don't have any problems with the 80's sound, that is just the way things sounded back then. :-)
@maiden fan
Well what I mean by come back is, some time ago, Mega Dave himself proclaimed that due to a "hand injury" he would stop making albums, but today we are all able to enjoy "System". Also Megadeth is Dave Mustain that's it. He's always run a tigh operation with the band, and things are played he want them to be played, I know alot misses "Junior" (Ellefsson), but I don't really feel that way when listening to the album.
I will try to look into a reveiw of "System".
Cheers!
