Playlist - June/July 2006 - Steen
Summer is starting to come around here and I've been slowly but surely starting to get back to listening to full albums instead of those favorite songs. My CD-shopping gene got a bit out of control this month.

Guintini Project - III
Got this one based on Alanna's glowing review and I was not disappointed. Just excellent! Filled with great songs, but "Disfunctional Kid" has been a favorite early on.

Misfits - Famous Monsters
Extremely catchy sci-fi horror rock. Discovered at the Sweden Rock Festival when Stuart managed to sneak one of his CD's into the midst of my MP3 Metal jukebox heaven and I've been listening to it every day since I got back. There is something highly enticing about the tone in Michale Graves' voice and the lyrics are funny as hell.

L.A. Guns - Waking the dead
A very nice acquaintance. Great guitar work and a charismatic singer got my attention and the melodic element that shines through in all the songs made this album easy to get into but hard to put down.

Quireboys - Tramp & Thieves
My first real encounter with Quireboys, and not a minute too soon I can hear. Cool voice, great piano and best of all hard rocking songs on this single. The entertaining Wild Wild Wild is a favorite so far. Time to find a full album.

Queensryche - Operation: Mindcrime II
Slowly starting to grow.

Richie Kotzen - Break it all down
Rather different from what I expected. Relaxed, slightly funky rock music with a special vibe to it. A nice discovery that has that "one more listen"-feel to it, but also a definite "must be in the right mood to enjoy it" album.
