Playlist - March/April 2007 - Alanna
Whoops looks like I missed a month on the playlist front. Never fear, though, a new playlist is here! woo!
Pride of Lions - The Roaring of Dreams
Such a great album, its AOR magic doesn't wear off very quickly. Astonish Me is just...well...astonishing!
The LoveCrave - The Angel and The Rain
Really a good debut album with some inventive aspects that keeps you reeled in. A band that's worth getting excited about.
Edu Falaschi - Almah
Sounds like Angra. Power metal stuff. Pretty good, more thoughts to come.
Winger - IV
Its no Pull but yet keeps pulling me back (haha). A couple of great tunes, including Four Leaf Clover are to blame.
TNT - Transistor
Unfortunately overlooked by the majority but this ignored TNT disc packs a powerful modern wallop. The instant Mousetrap and the wistful Under My Pillow are real gems. A tinge of sadness for Harnell is no longer with them...
Rainbow - Rainbow
The first, the very beginning of the classic band and one of their best releases. 30 years after its release it still comes out strong. Temple of the King is a bard like staple and who doesn't just love Man on the Silver Mountain? Ritchie's guitar was divine and Dio sounded absolutely perfect.
Talisman - 7
This thing has been hanging around for months but I never got around to it. Its likely the final Talisman release, which makes it something nostalgic and special. Great vox by Journey's new lead singer, Jeff Scott Soto.
Danny Vaughn - Traveller
Everyone deserves a second chance right? Well I decided to give this yet another look and its still not winning me over. I have a feeling its destined for the box of no return.. where CDs go to lie alone and deserted. Such a sad fate, but fitting for crappy cds.
