Summer is here for real and vacation time is just up the alley, that should give more time for writing some stuff for the site.
While some of the other staff members enjoyed what sounds like a spectacular Sweden Rock Festival, I tried to alleviate my jealously with the following albums.

Andromeda. Chimera
This intriguing band has created a unique technical style based on cool harmonies and thrilling structuring, it sounds promising indeed.

Angel Dust. Bleed
A dark shrouded and mystical album filled with progressive twist and raw power.

Dream Theater. Metropolis Pt.2: Scenes From A Memory
Hypnotically innovative and emotionally profound. A true masterpiece.

Dionysus. Anima Mundi
A breath of fresh air through the Power Metal community, well arranged, top produced and melodic all the way.

Eidolon. Tbe Parallel Otherworld
They continue their sombre and deeply heavy sound, this time around with Pagan's Mind vocalist Nils K. Rue showing his usual diversity.
Musically things are looking a bit predictable but none the less solid.

Halford. Resurrection
Classic Metal with superb vocals. This was a vibrant and strong comeback; the way he sings the chorus in Night Fall gets me every time.

Jag Panzer. The Fourth Judgment
When talking about huge accomplishments on the guitar front, Chris Broderick must be included as well as his performance on this record.. simply mind blowing stuff.
All in all a strong and nerve filled disc showing much of this special bands talent.

Judas Priest. Angel Of Retribution
It's still a minor disappointment compared to the expectations I had, but that doesn't mean it can't be enjoyed, Deal With The Devil is an energy filled groove rocker.

Pain Of Salvation. The Perfect Element - Part 1.
I stuck this one in my car stereo recently and it gives a good feeling listening to Morning On Earth while you cruise through the streets at night.
Generally a great album with music and emotions expressed in profound ways. Sometimes I wonder just how less fascinating this world would be if it weren't for progressive music like this.

Rhapsody. Power Of The Dragonflame
I love this album due to an ongoing range of great songs, bombastic wonders and imaginary musicianship and thinking.

Symphony X. The Divine Wings Of Tragedy
True art doesn't loose any of its shine with the years. A pompous and over the top epic that continues to inspire.

Wuthering Heights. Far From The Madding Crowd
A pulsating mixture of Prog, Power and Folk.it kind of draws you towards the woods in hope of a glimpse of when divinity and nature melts together in that everlasting moment.
