Currently it's raining CD's in my apartment and I'm desperately trying to organize them into different stacks like "new purchases", "stuff to review", "album of the month candidates", "old gems that need playing time" etc. Here's some of the stuff that have received most attention lately.

Alice Cooper. Hey Stoopid
A vibrant, catchy and sweetly rocking album with attitude and humour.

Angel Dust. Enlighten The Darkness
Had to dust this one off, hard and gentle effects go hand in hand in this complete and expressive piece of music.

Beyond Fear. Beyond Fear
Tim "Ripper" Owens' new band plays a trashy and aggressive Metal brand that goes right in the flesh. The vocals are sharp and impressive and the music solid but not immensely thrilling.

Eldritch. Neighbourhell
I love that deep and heavy tuned guitar, a solid and very dynamic release.

Evergrey. Monday Morning Apocalypse
A strong candidate for album of the year, it's really that good. Melodic and melancholic at the same time and offering a more straight and extremely focused way of doing things.

King Diamond. Abigail
Today the King is playing my hometown just down the street so I'm warming up with some essential King Diamond stuff. This one is a classic and an extremely well performed Heavy Metal album.

Marcel Coenen. Color Journey
Sun Caged guitarist brings forth a wide-ranged, progressive and exciting disc with plenty of variation and successful ideas.

Vanden Plas. Christ O
I'm still trying to grasp this complex and layered concept album, definitely high quality Progressive Metal oozing with thick guitars, gentle vocals and magical key arrangements. Not as catchy as hoped but time will tell just how much it will grow.

Whitesnake. 1987
Sensual, raw, melodic and groovy.this one has a lot to offer.

Winterlong. Metal/Technology
With a substantial change in direction Winterlong has managed to create a not always equally cohesive but highly interesting album.
