Rhino Bucket - Get Used To It
Rhino Bucket has to date put out three cool albums containing intense and pulsating Heavy/Hard Rock that uncompromisingly hits with full force, Get Used To It is the bands second release and if I should pick a personal favourite my vote goes for this one.
Their style reminds me a lot of AC/DC, although we've not talking rip off here, I would advise any fan of Powerful Rock to check these guys out.

The first track Beat To Death Like A Dog resembles the albums vibe very well. Groovy bass lines, a fantastic raw twin rhythm structure, a catchy solo and harsh vigorous vocals all add up to a fantastic opener. The unpolished and rough production goes hand in hand with this very striking musical approach.

Hey There represents a more groovy and hard pounding side of the album, Georg Delivo throws in some fantastic vocal lines, his cool and expressive throat action is a really big plus for the album overall, this is music with tons of attitude.

The immensely hard driving and up-tempo The Devil Sent You has a great melodic rhythm guitar base and a catchy chorus that invites you to sing right from the first line.

The slow build-up found in Bar Time is an album highlight with its twin rhythm guitar attack resulting in a special cool dynamic. The up-lifting chorus works out very well in connection with the easygoing guitar lick. The song falls a bit apart towards the end but it's certainly a good tune.

I simply love the direct and raw approach on this album, nicely balanced out by huge melodies. The rhythm guitar work is impressive and the central bass also stands out, the hard pounding drums with lots of balls has a tendency to be more of a solid pillar holding everything together which also has its own charm.
Lyrically the approach is pretty simple and straight forward: Women, drinks, having a ball, but also personal struggles and bad times, it all just fits in with this type of music.

Not all songs have the same amount of great melodies, fantastic riffs and exciting choruses but overall a high standard is upheld. The strange, noisy and monotone ending song Stomp is also an aspect that keeps the rating from being higher.

When it all comes down to it, this is a fantastic party album, bound to knock you of your feet.

If you love Bon Scott era AC/DC you will find Rhino Bucket's music to be the next best thing on God's green earth. Most people I've known that listen to Get Used To It the first time actually wonder if ol' Bon crawled up out of his grave to give one last vocal & lyrical gift to his fans. That's not to say Rhino Bucket steals from AC/DC. Of course they do, but their material is original enough to stand on it's own. "Stomp" is the only 'song' here that was a mistake (probably drunken!) to release so I can't give this record a perfect 10. Let's say 9/10 points. Keep rockin, Jon http://groups.yahoo.com/group/bonscott
