Thursday, February 21, 2008 - The Quireboys In London Mixing New Album
The Quireboys have issued the following update:

"The band are currently in London mixing the album at Good Luck studios with Mark Wallis who has worked with TRAVIS and U2 and also worked on The Quireboys 'Bitter Sweet And Twisted'.... they expect to finish by the end of next week."

The band's new studio effort, entitled Homewreckers & Heartbreakers, is tentatively due out in April.

The Quireboys' vocalist Spike and guitarist Griff are currently collaborating with EMI Records, helping to compile The Best Of The Quireboys. This will be a double CD of material from the band's EMI-era recordings. It will contain many previously unreleased tracks and rarities, due for release this April at a budget price.

Monday, March 19, 2007 - News from The Quireboys
The Quireboys have issued the following update:

"The band are currently in Lost Boys studios in Bedfordshire, UK recording with co-producer Nick Mailing. This album sees the band returning to their roots with a more varied selection of styles than Well Oiled. The as yet untitled album will be finished by the end of May with a late summer release. Songs recorded so far include: 'Love This Dirty Town', 'One More For The Road', 'Mona Lisa Smiled', 'Take A Look At Yourself', '(She's Got The) Dirt On Me', 'Blackwater', 'Late Nite Saturday Call', 'Fear Within The Lie', plus more to be recorded. Watch for an upcoming video clip.

Spike (vocals), Griff (Guy Griffin - guitars) and Paul (Guerin - guitars) will be appearing on the celebrity panel of Harvey Live which will air after Harvey Goldsmith Presents on E4 on the 27th March. It will also air on a later date on Channel 4."

Tuesday, December 12, 2006 - The Quireboys DVD news
The Quireboys' first official DVD will be released this month, featuring footage from the group's performance at The Mean Fiddler in London, England. The DVD will be available for purchase via the official web site and it will be sold in all good music stores as well. Entitled "Live at the Mean Fiddler, London: One More for the Road", the disc will feature the following tracks:

Wednesday, August 10, 2005 - New Spike and Tyla album
Quireboys singer Spike has been in the studio with Tyla - old friend and Dogs D'Amour frontman - recording an as yet untitled new album. The album features ten acoustic tracks from the pair, and is currently in the mixing stage. Release of the album will be in the next few months and will be accompanied by some live acoustic shows in November. More news and some artwork will follow soon!

The album will be dedicated to Little Jeff, a good friend of Spike, Tyla and their respective bands. The popular North East DJ sadly passed away suddenly two weeks ago.

Many fans may be aware that Spike and Tyla have recorded together before, in 1996 they released 'Flagrantly Yours' under the moniker 'Spike & Tyla's Hot Knives'. This is due to be re-released in 2005 in addition to the new acoustic album.

Thursday, May 12, 2005 - New Quireboys Tour dates
Quireboys has announced new tour dates covering Europe in June. Check out www.quireboys.com for dates

In Quireboys related news guitarist Guy Griffin has been in LA recently doing pre-production for an album with American alt-country artist Angela Bruyere. Guy Griffin also has plans for a second solo album when he is not touring/working with The Quireboys. He says "what style it will take I don't really know, but it will sound different from Glimmer, and it will definitely be a rock n' roll thing"

Tuesday, October 26, 2004 - The Quireboys suddenly off Whitesnake´s UK Tour
Message from The Quireboys:

"Due to circumstances beyond our control we will not be performing with Whitesnake on any of the remaining dates from October 24th '04. We apologise to anyone who has bought tickets especially to see us, and we will keep you posted as to the reasons why on the newspage.

Everyone is looking forward to the headline tour early next year, and we have more dates to confirm shortly".

The Quireboys played 11 shows supporting Whitesnake before their touring relationship came to an end.

Saturday, August 14, 2004 - News from the Quireboys camp
(London) Quireboys played their first German shows in over three years last week. Two warm up gigs in Hamburg and Berlin, finishing with the Wacken festival, the biggest Metal/Rock festival in Europe. The band return to Germany on the 27th for the Alstervergnugen Festival 04 in Hamburg. This concert is free admission.

In further Quireboys news, the band is preparing to shoot a video for the "The Finer Stuff" in the next few weeks. Check www.quireboys.com.

RevelationZ Magazine will soon feature a review of the Hamburg show.

Sunday, October 26, 2003 - New Quireboys album
The Quireboys are to release a new single "Everyday" (a cover of the Slade classic) on December 29th, with a promo video being shot in November to promote it . The band have also entered the studio in pre-production for their new studio CD. As yet untitled, the new opus will have 10 tracks of the bands unique rock'n'roll tunes ready for release in March 2004.
