Wednesday, August 10, 2005 - New Spike and Tyla album | Quireboys singer Spike has been in the studio with Tyla - old friend and Dogs D'Amour frontman - recording an as yet untitled new album. The album features ten acoustic tracks from the pair, and is currently in the mixing stage. Release of the album will be in the next few months and will be accompanied by some live acoustic shows in November. More news and some artwork will follow soon!
The album will be dedicated to Little Jeff, a good friend of Spike, Tyla and their respective bands. The popular North East DJ sadly passed away suddenly two weeks ago.
Many fans may be aware that Spike and Tyla have recorded together before, in 1996 they released 'Flagrantly Yours' under the moniker 'Spike & Tyla's Hot Knives'. This is due to be re-released in 2005 in addition to the new acoustic album. |
