"15" was released back in 2006. Finally Eleven Seven Music releases the album in Scandinavia after its long run in USA , which culminated when "15" was certified platinum. The album spawned 2 singles in 2006, 2 in 2007 and the second single of 2008 is soon to be released. 6 singles off an 11 track album from a band playing Hard Rock sure is unique.
Buckcherry came around when grunge had taken over and Buckcherry's debut album was meant to be the savoir of Good time hard rock. Despite commercial success and a single hit Lit Up Buckcherry didn't really become the liberators and their second album flopped.
After flirting around with solo careers and jamming in an early carnation of Velvet Revolver guitarist Keith Nelson and singer Josh Todd agreed to give it another go.
"15" grows on you and as you give the album time it's easy to understand why it has had a long run. The favorite tracks change constantly as the album gets more playing time. However, Out of Line and Carousel are instant favorites, but Everything tops as album highlight. The up-coming single Sorry is co-written by hitmaker Marti Frederiksen. It's a great ballad with a commercial touch, but Buckcherry doesn't loose integrity. Sorry probably will keep the album selling and postpone the anticipated follow up.
Buckcherry is a contemporary Hard Rock band -not the typical 80's Hard rockers at all. Sunshine has more in common with Black Crowes than Black N' Blue. Josh Todd's voice is raw and he gives Buckcherry a sleazy sound.
The band still spans wide, but all in all "15" is just a great contemporary rock album rooted in Buckcherry's AC/DC hard rocking roots.Written by
