Mama Kin - Rock n Roll
Sweden's Mama Kin has a new 3 track demo available. Influenced by bands like Kiss, Aerosmith, Mötley Crüe and Guns n Roses, Mama Kin plays outdated 80's Rock that never will die. Connected with this genre is lots of attitude, which Mama Kin has both in their music and in their visual appearance. However, even though they look a bit Glam I find a lot more 70's inspiration in their music.

The Kiss inspiration comes to mind several times in the vocals and the title track has vintage Kiss all over it. The title track is also the strongest, because of the great chorus and in-your face attitude. The guitar sound on Devil Dance sounds like old school Alice Cooper so you gotta hand it to the Swedish guys that they know their roots.

Compared to their latest demo "Partytime" Mama Kin has really progressed in their song writing. The music is still a great mix of Glam, a spoonful Sleaze and mostly Rock 'n' Roll - which actually is the title of this demo and it describes the music quite good.

Get them in a studio and as I stated in my last review - get an extra guitar player, which really would improve the songs. Especially a song like Devil Dance cries out for a lead guitarist. I think we could have a quite interesting result.

"Rock n Roll" is well produced for a demo, it has 3 tracks with a total playing time of nearly 12 minutes.
