Death Machine - Death Machine
Zero Hour's Tipton Bros. and Drummer Mike Guy have been rocking out technical death/math metal since 1993. With Death Machine they take a different approach and go for a Thrash like Extreme Metal sound. Very Heavy and Intense and very dark lyrically.

This is the musician's list as printed on the album:

Vocals: Throat
Guitars: Thrak
Bass: Devin
Drums: Mike
Keyboards: Elias

The album starts off heavy enough but a sameness to the songs keeps me from being more interested until they hit track four, the murdered my girlfriend twisted math metal song called "Last Breath"!

This song makes you perk up and listen as strains of Zero Hour coming popping through. This is also the point where the album starts to make it's impact and keeps my interest until track#7 "Inflicting", where it picks up it's sameness again. Yet fans of Zero Hour shouldn't be dissappointed at all in this Tipton Bros. foray into Extreme Metal!

The production is a little muddy but not enough to bother you, certainly not as bad as the newest Nevermore release! hehe.

All in all a satisfying release of heavy music...not earth shattering or groundbreaking but a good metal album. Future releases should see these guys making some strides that will make people sit up and notice but this one isn't different enough to stand out in the overly populated Extreme Metal world.

www.deathmachine.net will allow you some samples to hear and I have no problem recommending this release.
