teztoz,

If this is indeed you (Terry), let me say that I was thrilled to see a new Charlie CD available. I have sampled the tracks on Amazon.com and have heard enough to know that I'm sure to love the CD when I receive it. I've been a fan since "Fantasy Girls" and not many bands ever rivaled Charlie in the melodic rock field. It's great to have you back.

You know what? I actually ordered the rest of their catalog 3 days ago (waiting and waiting) because through the past couple of months I have been listening to Savatage, however, recently it just hit me like a ton of bricks, and I'm soo addicted, really, seriously, I couldn't sleep the first time I heard "The Storm". until I finally fell asleep for like an hour and woke up and just had to listen to some Savatage. and I forgot all about the fact that it was 4am. it's been long time, actually too long time since I have had this feeling about music.. I feel so ecstatic. damn why do I have to discover this magical band now? I only had Fight for the Rock and Poets and Madmen before. but I couldn't get into these albums. however is better late than never :)
Yeah I also know Redemption. awesome band.

Personally you should get the entire Savatage catalog and capture its evolution. Of course I say that since I am a huge fan and pretty much get anything related to the Savatage name. That is one band that went through some hard times and today the name Savatage is not just a band but an entity. I think if you look at the Savatage "family" it will impress you to how far they reach. Though based on what I saw on your list if Favorite Albums I would look at getting Edge Of Thorns and Dead Winter Dead next.

If you love DT then I would also highly recommend the band Redemption.

QUEEN - LIVE AT THE BOWL (2DVD SET)

This is an extraordinary recording that shows all Queen's energy and Freddie's showmanship; indeed, this piece contains some segments that might be edited in other contexts due to the duration of Freddie's rapport with the audience. You can also perceive the discreet appearance of John Deacon taken throughout the video.
Formatwise, the package has certain flaws; first, it is saturated with photos that are claimed previously unseen; we will have to see that nowadays with all the online resources. An insightful review of the members about that day might have been more appealing. Besides, the same photos are included in DVD2, which by the way, is another major flaw. The interviews included do not provide much about the band's career as the notes establish and again focus on the 3 members, leaving Deacon aside (did this guy like to talk?). On the other hand, the interviewer's questions are irrelevant. It is interesting though that they guys get in a contradiction when Freddie is asked about the importance of the visual element on stage, he affirms it is critical, but when May and Taylor are asked about this issue, they do not feel the same. What is clear is that one way or the other the members reveal certain tension egowise.
Speaking about saturation and as it has been noted, this bonus material includes a series of photos which are the same in the booklet. Unfortunately, they are not enough to fill in the entire tune used ("Calling All Girls") since they are showed again and again.
Finally, we have some clips from Japan and Austria venues which tell about the energy on stage despite the songs are not quite different, except for "Put Out the Fire".
If you want to pick an outstanding performance by QUEEN, probably "Live at the Bowl" would be a good choice, but probably other releases may satisfy you in terms of extra material.

"One of the best rock n roll bands to come out of the U.K in the past 10 years!"-Tracci Guns (L.A Guns, Brides of Destruction )

GYPSY PISTOLEROS have recorded their debut album 'Para Siempre' the
greatest Flamenco Glam Sleaze Rock n Roll Punk album ever ! Produced by the legend that is Joe Gibb (Catatonia, Jaynes Addiction, Madonna, The Cure, Robbie Williams, Funeral for a Friend, etc)

Lee J Pistolero - Vocals
Iggie Pistolero - Lead Guitar
Angel Pistolero - Bass
Leeroy Pistolero - Drums
These Spanglish Outlaw Gypsy Flamenco Astro Sleaze Rock 'n Roll Renegades are a collision of low slung, low flying polka dot strat guitars, driving bass and pounding drums. The songs spin madly in the best rock 'n' roll tradition with big hooks, attitude and sleaze, yet those flamenco breaks will get into your head and refuse to leave.
"one of the most unique bands I've heard in years - sleaze rock meets
Spanish flamenco music in a refreshing blast of originality. I immediately
picture the band playing in the background of Quentin Tarantino's
slash-fest From Dusk Till Dawn. Gypsy Pistoleros could easily have been the banditos strumming severed limbs while Salma Hayek gyrated across the stage. . Right from the beginning of "The Crazy Loco Loquito" you can tell that Gypsy Pistoleros is on to something special, and it just gets better from there. "Un Hombre Sin Rostro, Pistolero" is one of the best songs I've heard so far this year. Complete with trumpets, the song evolves into a screaming energy filled chorus. Gypsy Pistoleros is blazing a new trail here and doing a hell of a job. There isn't a song on this release that I didn't like, right from start to finish the boys offer a steady dose of sleaze with a twist. The liner notes call it the "greatest renegade gypsy flamenco sleaze glam rock n roll album ever" - who am I to argue?

SKID-Sleaze Rock
They are Renegade Gypsy Flamenco Rock N´Roll Glam Sleaze Punksters. They certainly are one of the most unique bands I discovered in decades.

Besides combining English and Spanish, the music is a successful hybrid of attitude, catchy hooks, punk, sleazy riffs - all based in Rock with a capital R. The punk influence is also understated by all members sharing
the Pistolero last name equal Ramones. The band sets no boundaries and the album explores extremes of the Hard Rock concept. We get Spanish guitar, Trumpet, distorted guitars, hard hitting drums and bouncing bass riffs. Vocalist Lee Pistolero has a great voice, which holds both power and passion.

http://www.revelationz.net 8out of 10

ROCK REPORT 5out of 6 Stars
Gypsy Pistoleros bring us some of the wildest sleaze rock I've heard in years mixed with a dash of.eh.flamenco. Yeah, you read that right, sleaze rock under the influence of the original Spanish styled flamenco. Although I feel obliged to tell you that it's the Roberto Rodriguez/ Quentin Tarantino kind of mariachi flavor, not the stiff upper lip, complete with the red rose, variety. But don't take this the wrong way as the CD takes off to a flying start with opener 'The Crazy Loco Loquito' (whatever that means) & pounds relentlessly on until it comes to a grinding halt with '1-2-3-4 Kiss Me Then I'm Damned For Sure'. Take multiple electric axe attacks, couple them with some crazy acoustic guitars and over the top trumpets and you have the ingredients for the most hyperactive sleaze rock record of the year. The kind of album that can save even the dullest party in the world. Arriba Arriba! (KVK)

SLEAZE METAL.COM RATING 8.5 out of 10

Innovation in the Sleaze genre is rare, but what the "Gypsy Pistoleros" pull off here is majorly cinematic. They take "Ricky Martin" and mix it all with a fat dose of"star star" and "Hanoi style" and create a cool mix of Flamenco Sleaze n ' roll. !" This pleases me really unbelievably well and it is really at times class above a Sleaze variation to hear such innovation and cool at the same time. Whoever loves "Tito & Tatantula", will be here surely particularly pleased, this album was made for a Mexican Bandito Movie in the best way possible. You may not understand it yet: But buy this record, it is fucking wildly, beautiful and damned!!! KOMODO ROCK -SPUNKEY LOBSTER 9 out of 10 They've supported The Dogs D'amour, Adlers Appetite, Faster Pussycat, Love/Hate, L.A Guns and shared stages in the past with the likes of The Ramones, Motorhead and The Cramps, and now they come flying out into the retail market, guns blazing, saddle bags full. "Evenin' Pardner. Ya be wantin' some whiskey with them 'ere Pistoleros?" That's how the album should have started, instead it starts even more appropriately at the birth of the Pisteleros, these bastard sons of Ennio Morricone and Axl Rose. This is hot for the faint hearted or those purists who say sleaze should be predictable, for that's one thing that 'Wild, Beautiful, Damned!' is not. This is not your normal glam/sleaze album, this is something new It's like listening to LA Guns and Guns N Roses playing in the saloon in The Good, The Bad and The Ugly. It's dirty, it's nasty, you can practically smell the sawdust on the floor. 'Un Hombre Sin Rostro Pistolero' the second track on the album is gun toting rock and roll express train. It has everything you'd want in one of the songs you jump around to in a club half cut, spilling more beer than your drinking, complete with sing a long chorus where you don't need to know the words, just shout "Pistolero" at the right time. And on it goes, although we get an interlude late in the album with the more punk fueled 'Switchblade Kiss Comes Close", more in line with the New York Dolls. With much of the singing on the album seemingly unconsciously switching from Spanish to English and then back again, you get a real feel for where the band are trying to take you. It works, at least it does for me, although I imagine a lot of other people are going to to lambast the band, more interested in the latest GNR influenced, basic rock n roll, easy to like. If they don't call the follow up to this "The Good, The Bad and The Gypsy Pisteleros" I really am going to be disappointed though! Take this one for a spin, grab a bottle of whiskey, strap on your colt, and go rock in 2007's Old West.

ROCK TOTAL-SPAIN Miguel Rivera Score: 8/10
Once in a while, in this of music there is somebody scores to innovate, or, to offer something different, amusing at least but with rare quality, and when that takes place is always worthy of praise, since we changed a little the chip and we were able to listen to something novel that it returns to us to remember the magician who is music. This is what happens to the group that touches to us, a divertimento very serious call GYPSY GUNMEN, a group that could only come from across the pond, since its proposal is very near the Sleazy and Glam rock of the eighty, that and to give a different and graceful touch here him we have to four musicians pawned on mixing that style with I touch Mexican, sung in English with some parts in Castilian, juice and mixes explosive, which it will turn to us without a doubt in its sound to MÖTLEY CRÜE, with the amused touch well of which it spoke. "Wild, Beautiful, Damned" is the work of a blessed crazy man, a work made up of songs of Sleaze, where under the great voice of Lee J Gunman, our hips and heads leave sudden flights, under a ochentero rock to not being able more, and I touch extremely Mexican in many of them, as well as that mixture of English Spanish and to whom before it made reference, véanse courteous like the brilliant "The Crazy Crazy Loquito", "a Man Without Face, Gunman", perfect mixture of it, or "Forever Is For Always", which or they could sign the Mötley or some band of long ago, without olvķdanos of pegadiza "One For Everything Is Bandit ", or impressive "Mr. Mangi Acqui", simply perfect Glam rock, guitars macarras, refrain to hiper pegadizo and bad dribble, under one melodķa delicious, everything a gift for our ears. Without a doubt, GYPSY GUNMEN offers all a lesson to us of classic rock with an amusing vein, mixing styles which in the hands of these boys, has been professional and uplifting, everything a gift for which was boring of the same of always. Delicious!!!! GLITZINE What a sexy little gimmick these guys have going on here. Originating from Spain, the Gypsy Pistoleros have combined the romantic elements of Spanish culture and language and niftily blended it together with their own influence of dirty rock n roll. The way God intended it to be, maybe. Ok from a distance it could sound a little odd, maybe even a little kitsch but trust me it's as instantly loveable as when you first heard the husky tones of that intoxicated rogue Tyla, and Pistoleros tattooed frontman Lee J often sounds a little like him at times too. A great deal similar to the Dogs albums 'Graveyard of empty bottles' or 'Straight' with the huge amount of glamour from the sexy vagrant look, the strength in the lyrics and the intense dynamics and ornaments contained in each melody. The Gypsy Pistoleros both vocals and musicians alike take a hold of each song and don't let go until they're well and truly done with it, the riffs roll from beginning to end with the randomly accompanying flamenco rhythm, a rollercoaster of passion and raw rock n roll. 'Un Hombre Sin Nostro, Pistolero' is an excellent place to start listening, outstanding character, ripping vocals and a perfect theme while 'Forever is Para Siempre' has even more balls, L A Guns style with a harder rocking influence. This band and every track on this album just can't help but make you smile. There are moments when the Spanish feel slows down and you realise that the true influence here is rock, 'Senor Mangi Acqui' again lets the dynamics take over the song and the backing vocals really make this emotional and effective. 'Una Para Todo es Bandido'! begins with a Spanish acoustic sound, and an accompanying image of an approaching gun fight! Just as you think you know where the songs going, it blasts off into a totally different direction. Not as predictable as you might think! 'Switchblade Kiss Comes Close' introduces a much stronger attitude and you notice maybe older glam and punk rock influences, a little Dolls here and a little Lords there. The album ends with the track '1-2-3-4 Kiss Me Then I'm Damned For Sure' and stamps out the title line 'Wild, Beautiful, Damned', which is a perfect way to sum up.

GYPSY PISTOLEROS: "Para Siempre
www.myspace.com/gypsypistoleros

After its debut two yearsago , this English band, has been at the present time the great revelation of rock in the United Kingdom of the last years, with a personal, direct sound and self-assuredness, it is without a doubt the great revelation of this year. Frontman and vocalist Lee J. Pistolero (ex- White Trash and Last Gang) came up with this idea for the group when living in Zaragoza with the gypsies. As well as sharing the stage with bands like Motörhead, The Ramones, UFO and The Cramps, mixing the attitude of sleaze/glam with a touch of punk and hard rock, adding flamenco music and Tex mex, the result: explosive without doubt. The best thing than has without a doubt the work, in addition to music, it is without a doubt the lyrics, it mixes English and Spanish with great punches of flamenco; very direct and pegadizas that hardly takes in leaving the head; which together with a rock n'roll, energetic, shining and direct with many dyes of glam and sleaze causes that it is a very powerful product, direct, original one and without waste some. In helpings addition to Lee J. the band is formed by Iggie Gunman to the rabid, direct guitars and with rates prepared for the total dance and the celebration, feelings and rates very vacilones; Angel Gunman to the low one giving him to certainty and feeling to the bases to the time that prints that force in the most direct and cańeros subjects (generally the immense majority of them); and to finalize Leeroy Pistolero to the cleaning rods, exceptional work, with much stuck in the battery, forces and certainty is the premise of its work in the album. Produced in Mighty Atom Studios in Swansea the work of Joe (Janes Addiction) Gibb it is complete; I believe that it has known to give to the work that dawn to him of Spanishness that the subjects require comes to the mind any film from Clint Eastwood or including the cover from the "Ace Of Spades" from ` Motörhead' with that dot from cuatreros; very good the production, following that line monkey of information collaborates with the band Kris Jones (trompetas), Bo Fletcher (acoustic guitars) . Another important aspect in this band is his ` look' mixes of glam ochentero with certain forajidos dots punkarras or of authentic of the distant west which gives another charisma him to the band and to the musical product. I will comment some interesting data to you so that you run to your nearer store of discs and buy the CD, because it cannot lacking in any collection of all good lovers of rock; direct, vibrant and strong guitars with riffs, pegadizos refrains, magnificent choruses. But mainly subjects like "Moonchild", "All for one , Bandido" or "Forever is for always" demonstrates that it is a band with much talent, feeling and with desire to make the things or and mainly to give to spectacle and much diversion, you do not lose the vision in them, his shows are sweeping; for many a commercial product, saleable or not whoose to say, for other direct, intelligent rock and with much enlistment; they already have been in Spain, they promise to return and to demonstrate what they are worth, at the moment is the only participating band from Europe this year in the greatest festival of hard rock of ` states' Rocklahoma which tells you something Score: H H H H H A Unique Accomplishment:
