Tuesday, June 29, 2010 - Michael Monroe To Support Motorhead In The UK
Motorhead have today announced that Michael Monroe will be their special guest on their upcoming 35th Anniversary tour in November this year.

Michael Monroe's band features bassist sami Yaffa who has played with a remarkable variety of bands including Hanoi Rocks, New York Dolls and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, and guitarist Ginger who has dazzled audiences over the world with his band The Wildhearts. Also on guitar is Steve Conte, the New York Dolls master fretman who has played with Willy DeVille and his own bands The Crazy Truth, Crown Jewels and Company of Wolves. Rounding out the band is drummer Karl "Rockfist" Rosqvist, whose resume includes providing rhythm for the likes of Chelsea Smiles and Danzig.

Having spent the last three and a half decades proving that as far as they are concerned, everything really is louder than everything else, Motorhead will pull out all the stops to make sure that their 35th Anniversary tour is not one to be missed. On the band's 35th Anniversary tour, Lemmy had the following to say:

"35 years and still going, who would have thought- almost like f***ing matrimony and no divorce in sight"

Other information
Michael Monroe was fronting the classic Finnish Glam band Hanoi Rocks. The band was along with Mötley Crüe the pioneers of Glam Hard Rock. Tragically Hanoi Rocks career ended when their drummer Razzle was killed in a car accident. A drunk Mötley Crüe lead singer Vince Neil drove the car.

Since the dissolution of Hanoi Rocks Michael Monroe has been pursuing a solo career. On "Not Fakin' it" from 1989 he was collaborating with Little Steven on a few songs. Later he formed the project Jerusalem Slim with former Billy Idol guitarist Steve Stevens. The album was great but didn't achieve any success.

In December 2002 Hanoi Rocks released a new album titled "12 shots on the Rocks" and in January 2003 Michael Monroe's fifth solo album "Whatcha Want" was released.
