Indwelling - And My Eye Shall Weep
Digguh plat, plat, plat, plat..........dida pah, dida pah............digguh plat, plat, plat, plat.......and so the drums pound, the axe strikes chords of fury, the bass rumbles in power, the throat grumbles and growls like an earthquake.

Indwelling tear through a set of blazing, raucous Death metal. A twist perhaps, in that, the lyrics aren't about disembowelment, destruction, the pleasures of the flesh or Satanism and various occult overtones. No sir, these guys are bringing a message of hope, in an otherwise dark genre of music. If you just pop the disc in and never bother reading the lyrics you would probably never know this is a Christian Death metal band. I like to call it Life After Death metal myself. I think that is a better description because the music is Death Metal in sound but the lyrics are positive, worshipful even, in their nature. These guys can hang with the best Death Metal bands out there so don't worry about it being watered down and wimpy. They wield the sword of God and slash your brain with sonic explosions of raw Death Metal power.

The musicians in the band are Jason Stinson (guitars), Ethan Pajak (Drums), Thomas Washington (Bass & Growls). A 3 piece band. They are old school, brutal Death metal but with a technical edge, especially in the drumming. Ethan is a freak on the skins! The Vocals are low brow subsonic growling and they even pull The Black Dahlia Murder's duel vocal style. Both vocal styles are aggressive though. Death Metal growls and Thrash metal tortured screaming. Sometimes both styles are sung together for an extreme vocal harmony freak out.

You get 10 tracks and two of them are instrumentals. The instrumentals are really cool too. Not what you might expect.

So the bottom line is, this is pure death metal. Straight forward and done with conviction. Any Death metal fan out there would not be wasting his or her cash in buying it.

The overall sound of the disc is awesome. They had some good studio time and competent engineering going on.

Hey, if you don't want to take my word for it then go over to www.facedownrecords.com and check out their MP3 page. You can hear Indwelling for yourself and a host of other acts on the label. It's a great website with tour news and all kinds of info on their artists. I know you will enjoy every minute of it! Thanks for reading!

I bought the new Indwelling cd at a Nodes Of Ranvier concert, and this is simply brutal! Oah yes, I am a Christian! Support Christian death and black metal music! If you like black metal, then check out these bans, Drottnar, Crimson Moonlight, and S Sanctifica! Check out the first Sanctifica cd named, Spirit Of Purity!
