Sodom - One Night In Bangkok
The long time great thrashers, Sodom, unveil an explosion of live, raw, and primal energy on this monster 2 disc live recording. 23 blistering tracks of German Thrash at it's best. They weave through their discography without a miss.

If you've not heard of Sodom before, then shame on you, but to give you an idea of what to expect I'll throw out a couple of newer thrash bands to you. If you've listened to the thunder of Haunted or Dew Scented then you will have a good idea of what is going here with Sodom. The aforementioned bands having gone through a thrash bone marrow transplant that contained more than a few Sodom cells in the mix!

As Sodom travels through all their recorded material you realize that they have remained the same throughout their long history in Thrash. As we say here in America, "if it ain't broke, then don't fix it." That is Sodom in a nutshell. Quality Thrash through and through.

I won't waste a lot of your time with a long drawn out review here. I will say that the most attractive thing about this live album is that they play stuff from all their albums, as well as some odd but cool covers, and it gives a sameness to them because we are hearing each song played the same, sound wise. So the older albums may not be as clear as what can be achieved today but by doing old songs and new songs live you get to hear what they would've sounded like had the technology been as good back then. Hence the sameness I was talking about.

Sooooo, long review ditched, this album just plain out rocks....no duds, no fluff, no disappointments. You like Thrash? You like Sodom? Then by all means pick up this bad boy.....it is a fitting way to sum up a great career thus far and look ahead to what they have to offer us in the future. If you haven't heard of Sodom before then this is the best place to start to get to know them. Then work your way back to the older albums which have stood the test of time. Cheers to Sodom! They have still got it! All of it! All you gotta do is pop that dude into your computer and check out the live video from the show in Bangkok to know I'm right :)

Obviously, your review for this album sucks coz you talked too much non-senses. The better way is just to do focusing on what interesting this album has. I was there both gigs in BKK and know really fuckin well how great Sodom did.

Well good for you Jack Ass for being there! Then you should know a 23 song breakdown description would bore the hell outta of even you! What's interesting about this album is every damn song! That's preety fucking clear from my review eh?!
Go drink some milk Tiger!

Tiger, is this review what made you so angry you had to bite Sigfried's lover Roy? He gave the disc a great review so what's your problem? That only people at the show can write an accurate review of it? Aren't you really just bitter because your underage male prostitute escort from Bangkok stole and got away with your autographed Tom Angelripper photo that night. So mellow out, loosen your bullet belts, re-read the review and, in the words of your pals in Sodom... "masturbate to kill yourself!"
