Bai Bang - Are You Ready
The latest studio release from Bai Bang dates back to 2001. In 2006 they released a best of compilation, which got yours truly on board. "Best of Bai Bang" showcased a very diverse band.

The line up consisting of Diddi Kastenholt (vocals), Pelle Eliaz (Lead Guitar), Joacim Sandin (Bass) and drummer Jonas Langebro recorded "Are You Ready" and with this album Bai Bang is ready to pick up where they left 8 years ago.

"Are You Ready" opens very positive with the catchy Glam Rocking tune Love The Things you Do, which also is the best tune on the album.

Bai Bang updates their sound on Born to Rock, We Come Alive and Are You Ready (I'm Ready) with big electronic drums and keyboard, which beefs up the sound. However, Born to Rock is an imitation of Wig Wam In My Dreams and Are You Ready (I'm Ready) is a modern Hard Rock song similar to Bon Jovi's Its My Life.

Only the best Die Young is a sappy ballad. The solo from guest guitarist Ryan Roxie only proves that Axl Rose was wrong in not hiring Roxie for the recent Guns N' Roses formation.

Songs like Bigtime Party and All the Little things are lifeless and go nowhere. The band really needs more attitude and power. The album is far from consistent in both song writing and even in production quality. The production and sound of Bad Boys is different compared to the other songs and sounds like a demo.

Bai Bang sings "It's been a long time coming, Are You Ready to Rock?" I'll pass this time. I looked forward to this album, but it leaves me with bitter aftertaste. The band sounds uninspired and out of ideas. Bai Bang has been hauled over the coals by the endless stream of Swedish Hard/Glam bands.

10 tracks and a playing time of 33 minutes only.

4/10 may confuse the potential listener, I hope that's not your idea, Michael.
A good pack of tracks can't be unrrated that way.
May be you disagree with the line of the album but that's not the truth of what is there.

I invite to everyone to listen this one. Is one of the best albums i've heard lately (plus Coldspell).

Sure that production is a little bit shabby but songs are straight and powerful, some kind of melodic touchs and with style.
