Despite this being the debut EP from
Heaven's Basement the band certainly managed to create a buzz. The band has been featured in Classic Rock Magazine and also two tunes from the EP have aired on the accompanied Classic Rock CD.
England has always had a great tradition for Rock N' Roll but it's been a while since a band picked up where The Who,
Led Zeppelin left off and made it internationally.
Heaven's Basement is rooted in the aforementioned bands but they add a touch of 80's sunset strip Hard Rock to their music.
Heaven's Basement certainly got potential. It is actually a disgrace that this is an EP only since it could have made the perfect backbone for a full album release. All songs are well written, well produced and well performed. It has been a while since a British band has blown me away like
Heaven's Basement did when I first heard the sleazy Cock-Rocker
Tear your Heart Out.
The riff based
Executioners day wins by each listen and it has become my favorite tune off the EP.
Graduation is another earhanger.
Heaven's Basement has a unique ability to rock. The band sounds professional and the sound/production of the demo leaves nothing behind.
The bouncy
Saint Routine proves that Singer Richie Hevanz is a top vocalist. Richie Hevanz isn't a typical English singer. He hits some high notes, but has a glam tone to his voice.
The EP closes with 2 rockers. Overall it is six high quality tunes founded on blues Based Hard Rock.
Heaven's Basement will soon announce some exciting label and producer news.
Heaven's Basement will support
Thunder on the up-coming European tour, so if you are nearby make sure to witness on the most promising bands in many years.
Outstanding!
