Bulletboys - Behind the Orange Curtain
"Behind the Orange Curtain" is a Bulletboys live recording from Galaxy Theater, CA.

It is not the original Bulletboys line-up, but lead singer Marq Torien who assembled 3 other guys playing Bulletboys songs very true to the originals with Marq Torien's characteristic voice in center.

Original guitarist Mick Sweda was a virtuoso on the six-string. "New" axeman Tommy Pittman makes a few mistakes and his playing isn't as tight - but all in all it's an enjoyable show. I personally witnessed Bulletboys (Marq Torien) live in 2007 and they put on a good show, read review. Marq Torien is a maniac on stage and has lots of energy and charisma.

A letdown on "Behind the Orange Curtain" is Marq Torien's voice, which sounds both rusty and  not in shape at all. Torien proved to have a great set of pipes and he blasted out his lungs on Bulletboys' UK Tour April 2007. This live record displays Torien's voice as blown.

The setlist is superb including all the classic hits from the first record including Hard as a Rock, Hell on My Heels and the single Smooth Up in Ya. Luckily the band has chosen to include a few tracks off "Freak Show", which was a great record. Toy from the experimental "Acid Monkey" record works pretty good live, while Shake me awake from "Sophie" is best forgotten.

The concert is loose with a "whatever happens" Rock N' Roll vibe
