Hanoi Rocks studio album "Another Hostile Takeover" was my album of the year, so the follow up has been the most anticipated release this year.
Finally
Hanoi Rocks releases new material in shape of the long-awaited first single off the new album due in September.
Fashion combines old
Hanoi Rocks song writing elements with their new and powerful sound. The song is a step back to the classic style, but the twang guitar gives it a unique sound.
Fashion is the first song recorded by the line-up, who has toured since 2004 and the song is a strong proof of this line ups capabilities and sounds very promising in relation to the new album.
Fashion has the magic vibe that surrounds
Hanoi Rocks and as trump card the have Michael Monroe, who sounds fantastic.
Besides
Fashion there is a cover version of
Trouble Boys, which originally was released by Billy Bremner (whoever that is). This song will not be on the album and it's mediocre.
There are also 2 videos - a music video for
Fashion and a live video of
Boulevard of Broken Dreams recorded in March 2007.
No need to hesitate for
Hanoi Rocks fans - go get this CD-single and be even more thrilled bout the new album.
