Vicious - Vile, Vicious, & Victorious
These guys remind me of fellow Swedes Carnal Forge. That brutal melodic death that has been a mainstay of that country for quite awhile now.
Anything new here?...hmmm well not really...but that doesn't matter to me because these guys do the style a lot better than some of the bands that have been around awhile. Yeah it tickles in all the right spots! That's for sure.

Anyway these guys shred from the first note and do not stop and this is really cool considering the oldest member is only 26!
They certainly have a vision and know what they want from an album. To start off this good leaves little room for upward mobility on future releases haha! I'm sure they will grow and expand and conquer new things on future releases though.

Ok some style breakdown is in order: Thrash and lots of it. Melodic Death passages and just good ole heavy metal sections as well.
The vocals are in the vein of The Haunted, Carnal Forge, and Dew Scented.
The music hints at those same bands as well but Vicious certainly can't be accused of ripping those bands off...just being inspired by them.

The album sounds great in my computer and in my car and on the home system.
So no worries there!

All in all a great album and worth the cash of you're into melodic, death, thrash styled metal of the aforementioned bands ilk.

Check out a video for "Boots Of Lead" and several mp3 clips at their web site.

I think you'll dig 'em!
