Necrotic black metal at it's ugliest! Horrible production....on purpose no doubt! DarkThrone fans will dig this.
Fast blast beats thunder under repetitive and simple song structures just like old school black metal of another age.
That being said I can say it's been done before and maybe by better or worse musicians....I don't know!
The vocals are wholly unintelligible and buried underneath the guitars. The drums are buried in there too. In fact everything is buried under everything and it makes this a bitch to listen to quite honestly.
This is an album of black metal that i quite honestly don't like too much. To try and purposely make your album sound like it was recorded on a cheap 1980's four track is beyond me.
The songs, I think, are pretty cool....you just can't hear them well enough to know. Yet I know there are a whole group of necro fans out there who would dig this for whatever reasons there are to like Necro BM music. I don't mind necro really...it just needs to be audible and a good mix of new recording technology and old sounds. Enslaved's Below The Lights is an album that I think represents the best of both worlds recording wise. A modern Necro sound if you will.....nothing wrong with that in my opinion because you retain the spirit of the old sounds but you are able to hear it and it be heavy and understandable to a greater degree.
Venom, DarkThrone, Celtic
Frost and old
Bathory fans I would think will like these guys. So while it's not my cup of tea i can't wholly dismiss it based on that.
A Black Attakk Records' band, you will find these guys and many others of this same style at their
web store!
