Tuesday, February 8, 2005 - Shaman news | Shaman, the band featuring former Angra members Andre Matos (vocals), Luis Mariutti (bass) and Ricardo Confessori (drums), along with Mariutti's brother Hugo (guitar), are currently finishing up work on their new album, Reason, due out through AFM Records.
The new material has been mixed and mastered by Sascha Paeth in Heaven's Gate Studios in Wolfsburg, Germany. The title and the exact release date will be announced soon. · Discuss this news further (0) |
Monday, April 7, 2003 - Shaman Live DVD | Shaman, with the former Angra members Andre Matos, Luís Mariutti and Ricardo Confessori performed in Sao Paulo over the weekend, with some very special guests on stage. The entire event was recorded for an upcoming DVD.
Guitarist-turned-producer Sascha Paeth (Kamelot/Rhapsody) joined the band for Virgo's 'To Be', and Edguy vocalist, Tobias Sammet joined the band for 'Inside' and 'Sign of the Cross', from his Avantasia side-project and 'Pride', together with Paeth.
Helloween's Andi Deris and Michael Weikath were onhand for 'Eagle Fly Free'. With regard to the Angra inclusions amongst the setlist, there was 'Carry On' and 'Lisbon', as well as a medley, featuring portions of 'Silence and Distance', 'Carolina IV', 'Time' and 'Wings Of Reality'. For the encore, all the guests returned to the stage, for a rendition of Judas Priest's 'Breaking the Law'
