Motörhead - The World is yours
The Christmas holiday is a time with traditions. Coincidence or not? But Motorhead 20th studio album is released around Christmas time. Motorhead albums has become a tradition after the device: Another year another Motorhead album. Lemmy and his gang have been very constant in making albums each year.

How does "The World is yours" differ from other Motorhead albums? It doesn't! The album is 39 minutes of typical Motorhead 3-chord Rock N' Roll. The biggest difference between the old and new Motorhead records is the production. Once again Cameron Webb has produced Motorhead and he has given Motorhead the bombastic sound that matches their live show.

"The World is yours" offers ten songs without much variation. On "Kiss of Death" Motorhead varied their approach to the songs and even wrote a great ballad. This time it is full blast Motorhead as we know them. They play is extremely safe and "The World is Yours" sound exactly like the fans expect Motorhead to sound.

The album is consistent and Lemmy still has some good songs saved. It is remarkable that Motorhead still lives the Rock N' Roll life that now seems old fashioned: Make a record, tour, make record, tour, release live record, tour... Their touring schedule would make most of today's "rock stars" whine.

Lemmy's vocals sounds like Lemmy, Phil Campbell sounds better and better on each release (listen to Devils in My head), Mikkey Dee is solid and the perfect skinman for Motorhead. Not much has changed. The songs are good with Get Back in Line as the most bouncy. The evil Brotherhood of Man is a return to "Orgasmatron" and album closer Bye Bye Bitch Bye Bye is a 50's Rocker like Going to Brazil with Phil Campbell playing some classic Chuck Berry riffs Motorhead style.

Actually track 5 Rock N' Roll music says it all.
