Casablanca - Kings, Queens and Guillotines
The news is all over Sweden and soon all over the World!

Stockholm's best kept secret in finally out. Casablanca is a Swedish all star band consisting of singer Anders Ljung from Space Age Baby Jane, drummer Josephine Forsman from all girl band Sahara Hotnights, guitarist Eric Stenemo from Melody Club, bassist Mats Rubarth and icing on the cake and the reason why this band immediately will gain international interest: Mr. Ryan Roxie  -  no introduction needed.

"Kings, Queens and Guillotines" is a limited 6-track EP only sold at Casablanca's live shows. These songs are just too good not to be heard by the masses, which hopefully will happen with a full album soon.

Singer Anders Ljung has a great voice and he is main songwriter along with bassist Mats Rubarth. The songs are in the same vein as Ryan Roxie's other projects Happy Pill, Roxie 77 and Dad's Porno Mag. The opener Secret Agents of lust is power pop in the finest vein with a great middle play leading to the guitar solo. The best song is Rich Girls. It is a simple song but Casablanca has the gift to make it groove like only Rolling Stones and AC/DC master. The bass and drums lay a solid backbone and Ryan Roxie plays a tasty signature riff throughout the song.

Casablanca is named after the Record Company that released Kiss' 70's records. Love and Desperation is kudos to Kiss' I was made for Loving You, since it has the same kitsch beat. The song is a grower - especially after hearing the song live.

"Kings, Queens and Guillotines" is catchy bunch of tunes. The 6-tracks are only teasing leaving us wanting more. The potential is undiscovered. There is more to the band: Go to Casablanca's myspace and check out the song The Juggler, which is amazing.

We need a full album soon and btw also a proper release of Roxie 77 "Two Sides to Every Story" as well.
