Tattooed Millionaires - The Band With No Fear & Armed and Hammered
In 2005 Tattooed Millionaires released their first album "The Band With No Fear", which was followed by "Armed and Hammered" in 2007. Right now the band is restructuring with a brand new line up and a new disc coming in January 2009.

Tattooed Millionaires cancelled a recent European tour where I planned to check them out. By way of consolation I got the bands discography and they have been rotating the last month.

Tattooed Millionaires has their own style combining 70's punk and Glam based around charismatic singer/guitarist Johnny Jetson. The sound of Tattooed Millionaires is 70's Glam with oversteered guitars.

Johnny Jetson has created his own niche style in 70's Retro Glam rock. The music is simple with short effective tracks best exemplified on Bad boys and Astronauts from "The band with No Fear".

"The band with No Fear" is the band's finest moment, since it's packed with irresistible tunes. There goes my Neighborhood, Do You Feel All right and album highlight Rock N' Roll Babies are all played with tons of attitude. The Hollywood rockers sound authentic with their guitar driven tunes and a penetrating snare drum. The album clocks in 37 minutes of attitude, swagger, retro-glam and great chops.

For "Armed and Hammered" Tattooed Millionaires were armed with a bunch of songs in the same vein as the predecessor. Somehow, they don't sound as fresh and catchy as the "Armed and Hammered" tunes. The album still sounds good though.

The band has a great look and image - therefore they sound trustworthy on the cocky on Next Big Thing since the chorus goes "We are the next big Thing".

I just got the word that Tattooed Millionaires will team up with Gypsy Pistoleros for a European tour early 2009. Make sure to check out this American Phenomenon! Hopefully RevelationZ Magazine will feature a review on the new album - in the mean time check out Tattooed Millionaires on their myspace site.
