New Generation Superstars - Crash Course.... In Rock N' Roll
Nottingham Rock City is not only the name of one of England's premier venues, but also the predicate of the city. Nottingham is a Rock city, the gigs at Rock City are always well attended and Saturday's glam/Sleaze night is fantastic. New Generation Superstars hails from Nottingham and ever since the release of "Crash Course .. in Rock N' Roll" the band has constantly been touring the UK.

If you have followed the UK scene the past year New Generation Superstars has been impossible to overlook. The band is a much demanded support band and has been getting all the great U.K. tours; Duff McKagan's Loaded, L.A. Guns & Love/Hate etc.

New Generation Superstars keeps it simple but yet effective and I won't write a long-drawn-out review. The music is energetic, simple and straight forward. Clichés like raw, forceful is a good match of the 12 songs on New Generation Superstars debut album. They are all a fine blend of Rock, Sleaze, punk with a healthy dose of attitude added.

New Generation Superstars are trustworthy, since the record is recorded on blood, sweat and beers. These guys have worked their way up and are the real deal opposite all the X-factor/American Idol bands around.

Dopefiend is the best moment on "Crash Course.. in Rock N' Roll". The song has a great signature riff and a most catchy chorus. I also have a soft spot for Ain't Quite Right.

The band sounds really tight and with the extensive touring New Generation Superstars must be a super tight unit and the next album sure must be the one breaking the band.

New Generation Superstars is a no frills band. This is pedal to the metal Rock N' Roll. You need to crank this record up and it goes well with booze. In the words of charismatic singer A.J., who has "Superstar" tattooed on his belly.

One more drink - there is time to go - One more drink - C'mon man you serve too slow.
