For steady readers of
RevelationZ Magazine the name
Pretty Wild might ring a bell.
Pretty Wild was featured on the compilation "GlamNation vol 1." Quoting from RevelationZ's review:
Pretty Wild is a trip back to the Sunset Strip late eighties era. Their contribution Dangerous captures the attention right away with hooks. "All the Way" is a 6 track mini album release on the American label Demon Doll Records. The GlamNation track
Dangerous opens the album.
The songwriting credit goes to guitarist Krizzy Field and Tim Pretty, but the riff is stolen from Shark Island's song
Dangerous. Despite the riff being copied props up to
Pretty Wild for paying respect to Shark Island. Krizzy Fields' guitar wails -
Dangerous is packed with attitude and great melody lines.
Pretty Wild has their own sound and Krizzy Fields guitar sound just rules.
Pretty Wild is great songwriters and "All the Way" proves that
Pretty Wild has great structures in their songs.
Let the Good Times Roll opens with a high primal scream, but it is a great written mid-tempo Rock tune .
The last 3 songs sound like there are from another session. The songs are not as many-facetted.
Time and
Shockin' Teen are both simple kick ass Rock N' Roll songs.
Along with
Dangerous - Take it Off and the
"fist in air" rocker
All the Way are best examples of
Pretty Wild's sound.
"All the Way" stops the clock at 21 minutes.
Pretty Wild certainly has what it takes to break through and deserves to go "All the Way" next with a full album release.
Pretty Wild stars of tomorrow?
