John 5 - Requiem
Personally I didn't pay attention to John 5 till recently. John 5 has been Marylin Manson guitarist so I didn't think there would be anything for me. However, John 5 contributed to Paul Stanley's excellent solo album "Live to Win" and also co-wrote a tune on the last Scorpions and Meat Loaf CD.

I certainly gained some respect for John 5 as a song writer. I must admit that he also won me over with this all instrumental guitar album. John 5 is a mind blowing player. His selection of notes is tasteful and varied. The use of a real drummer Tommy Clufetos adds more punch and live feel to the songs compared to many instrumental albums.

However, instrumental albums tend to become boring and John 5 is no exception. Nevertheless, if you are into this style of the playing I guarantee John 5 won't disappoint you.

John 5 is an artist. He is a multi talented - a great guitarist and great song writer!
