Easy Action - Easy Action
This is vintage Swedish Glam metal. Easy Action founders Kee Marcello and vocalist Zinny J. Zan has reformed Sweden's first Glam/Sleaze outfit. Since the Swedish scene explodes right now with Babylon Bombs, Gemini Five, Hell N' Diesel, Sister, Innocent Rosie - Easy Action got the offer to play Sweden Rock festival 2006 and yours truly witnessed a great show.

Finally its time to get their long out of print debut release, repacked with the story of Easy Action and plenty of bonus tracks. The best song is by far Drop The Bomb recorded live at Sweden Rock 2006, which made me wish for a full live release of Easy Action anno 2008. Zinny sings with his usual change between screaming Tom Keifer vox and "normal voice". In 1984 Zinny hadn't developed his own unique style and therefore he often sounds a bit flat compared to today.

The skeleton is the songs from their 1984 debut LP. The songs sounds a bit dated and Easy Action's image is very Hanoi Rocks alike. The music is primitive and has all the charm plus bumps and grinds of a debut album. This is teeny bop Glam Hard Rock full of piss and vinegar. The album has charm - just listen to Don't Cry Don't Crack and I am sure that you'll be tapping our toe with a smile on your lips.

The solos from Kee Marcello are sparse and his skills weren't fully developed compared to his shredding when he joined Europe.

The debut album has been repacked with a whole bunch of bonus tracks. The live tracks are pretty neat, but the ballad In the Middle of Nowhere is pretty weak; Roll Baby Roll is for fans only

Tracks 17-20 are recordings from "Last Night of the Glam Gods" - the only ever reunion gig by Easy Action in 1989. The audience is beefed up, but the musical performance is tight. The version of Don't Cry Don't Crack and We Go Rocking are highlights. The band sounds better live than the dated studio recording from 1984.
