Big Cock - Motherload
Big Cock! the band with the silly name fronted by bad motherfucker vocalist Robert Mason and guitarist David Henzerling. Both had their 15 minutes of fame; Mason fronted Lynch Mob on their second album and David Henzerling was a member of King Kobra.

Robert Mason opens the album with the phrase "Is this thing on? YEEEEEWAAAUWWWW" and David Henzerling's guitar kicks in. From that point there is no turning back. Big Cock grabs you by the balls for the next 35 minutes and 10 seconds.

Big Cock's debut album "Year of the Cock" had the two best songs Big Cock has ever written, but "Motherload" is the best album from Big Cock. The album is solid and more consistent. Big Cock plays it simple AC/DC style and even though the boundaries of their music are limited, Big Cock has come up with a diverse record. Big Cock is about having fun and "Motherload" is a big chunk of entertaining Rock N' Roll, which reminds the listener that Rock N' Roll is about having a good time.
The ballad Don't Ask Me to be Faithful deserves a special mention. Mason sounds fantastic and the backing vocals are top notch. Compared to the two previous albums Big Cock has worked more on the arrangements - Slave is a great example.

The lyrics are once again primitive with sex as the main subject. Henzerling's crunchy guitar cuts through like a knife in warm butter. The rhythm section is tight leaving Robert Mason to be the icing on the cake. He is a tremendous rock vocalist.

Big Cock has evolved into one of the best bands on the scene. Three words describe this album perfectly:

Fresh, catchy and unpretentious
