Sweden keeps fostering great Sleaze/Glam/Hard Rock bands. Yours truly follows the scene very closely and somehow the name
Hell NīDiesel suddenly popped up from nowhere on Smilodon Recordsī release schedule.
For the
Hell NīDiesel rookie is a short recap: The story of
Hell nīDiesel dates back to 2004, where they released two EPs on a tiny label to raving reviews from the local media. The EPs opened a door to the German market and
Hell NīDiesel did a 2 week tour in Germany. In 2007 the band releases their debut album "Passion for Power".
Packed with attitude and diesel running in the veins,
Hell NīDiesel delivers one hell of a record. Opening song
Sweet Sister pretty much sets the record straight about
Hell NīDiesel. A couple of rhythm shifts, slide guitar and a kick ass chorus. Vocalist EK Evil is a diverse vocalist and he shows his vocal range on
Sweet Sister.
Once the record takes off there is no turning back. One kick ass track after another is fired off.
Shook Me and
Kixx are among the best songs.
Kixx should be a single since it is melodic and has a great chorus, but still has an edge to it.
Ride Away and
Love Me Hard are also highlights - both are straight to the bone heavy fueled Rock NīRoll.
Fallin' is a nice breather on the high octane album.
Hell NīDiesel has managed to put lots of emotion into this ballad making it sequel to the power ballads of the 80s. The vocals of EK Evil sound great.
Fallinībuilds up for the solo from lead guitarist J. Sledge.
Attitude is a bit primitive and sounds like something
Hell NīDiesel had to get outta their system. The chorus line "raise your fist into the sky" sounds like a natural opener at live shows.
The music based in 80īs scene but with a trucker tank full of Rock Nī Roll gasoline as the fuel to run. The music is tattooed biker sleazy Hard Rock with lots of catchy choruses and cool guitars.
Straight ahead Rock NīRoll speaks for itself, so no need to expand this review. Go buy 2 six packs of strong beer and put this record on.
