Switzerland's Hard rock pride
Gotthard is captured live on stage in their homeland in front of thousands of enthusiastic fans.
The setlist is great and the performance is superb. Singer Steve Lee really proves to be a powerful singer and he belts out powerful vocals on album highlight, the hard rocking
Mountain Mama. The main emphasis is on the "classic" "G" album plus the latest "Lipservice". The ballad
Let it Be from "G" still sounds great.
"Made in Switzerland" has same quality stamps as the great live albums of the seventies, namely
UFO "Strangers in the Night" and Deep Purple's "Live in Japan". The common denominator of all 3 albums is that the performances have lots of nerve and a pure live feel You can only create that in concert and not afterwards in a studio doing overdubs.
The album is a Tour of all the great songs
Gotthard has written.
I wonder, Top of the World, In the Name and
Anytime Anywhere are all top class Hard Rock songs.
With a great selection of albums under their belt,
Gotthard has the ammunition to deliver a musically great show. The musical skills of the band is great and backed by their loyal home audience the band sounds unbeatable.
"Made in Switzerland" is no-brainer for
Gotthard fans and anyone who has ever attended a
Gotthard gig!
