Drugdealer Cheerleader - Promo 2005
England based Drugdealer Cheerleader have in recent years been getting lots of live experience doing a couple of national tours as opening band. They also play regularly around the London area. Compared to Drugdealer Cheerleader live in concert, lead singer Hilda's voice sounds a bit darker on record. However, his vocals still have that edge that gets you fired up in concert.

Now Drugdealer Cheerleader strike back with a 3-track sampler definitely is in your face Rock 'n' Roll.

The music of Drugdealer Cheerleader is a melting pot of Hard rock, a twist of punk but always with a great sense of melody. Their visual appearance is based in the time when you could tell a rock star from the clerk in the local supermarket.

Maximum Power is a meaningful title for the opening rocker. The track is full of energy and has an immensely drive. Any song that has the line "Gimme Guns 'N' Roses and Maiden and Crue" works fine with me. Check out the song for yourself since you can download Maximum Power in our media section or visit Drugdealer Cheerleaders's own website, which is quite entertaining.

These guys never seem to slow down and therefore You're The Only One came a as huge surprise since it's a ballad. To speak in terms everyone understands - Drugdealer Cheerleader doing a ballad is like AC/DC going unplugged. However, the song is a highlight with its structure that builds up and culminates in the chorus. Hilda sings very passionately and his voice sounds strong accompanied by beautifully played piano. You're The Only One actually binds the 3 track sampler perfectly together.

Britain's Great gets you back on the rocking track. Based in other English rebel rousers The Clash and Sex Pistols it sounds like Drugdealer Cheerleader adopt a fuck you attitude to the English society. The song is also self-biographic with the repeated line "Hey, We Rock"

All 3 tracks are great. With a strong back catalogue, this CD and the new material like It's Happening Now and Need a Little More, Drugdealer Cheerleader should be ready for an album deal.
