Events and Reports - Sweden Rock Festival 2004 - Day 2 (Nina) - Persuader, Brainstorm & Exodus
Back to Day 1
Persuader
Well, the young Metal gods, who I also saw not a long time ago at 2000 Decibel festival, were in a good shape today! Offering lots of energy and a lighthearted attitude at playing music, the guys delivered a fine performance, consisting of most of the songs from the excellent album Evolution Purgatory. In the end we got a little surprise as Persuader closed the show with the titletrack of their debut album, The Hunter! A very enjoyable concert from a promising band!
Hmm, I wanted to see Carnal Forge next, and made it to the stage just as it started to rain very badly. As the band was not on my "must see" list, I decided to run for cover and eat some food instead.
Later, I went to the camp to dry up, put on some warm clothe and get a beer. This proved to be such a cozy experience, that I missed both Testament and Slade. Hmm, well, there's got to be time to party at the camp too!
Brainstorm
Brainstorm is a band I am not that familiar with, but they play this German Power Metal style I love so much and having seen them do an excellent show at Wacken Open Air some years ago, I decided to give them a try. This proved to be an enjoyable experience; the band was very good and intense live! The music sounded promising, and the show was cool!
Exodus
Well, time for some good old Thrash as Exodus entered the stage at night! I don't know their music to the level of being able to sing along, but nevertheless I love to experience a Thrash concert, where everyone goes berserk and the air is full of intensity and power! So it also was this night, and I soon found myself banging and moshing like crazy in the pit. Damn, it was warm up front, and wild and crazy too! The band sounded great and managed to carry me away into a wild, insane world!
