Lots of news from Mattias "IA" Eklundh on the next Freak Kitchen album as well as other things:

It's. it's. IT'S DONE! Another album in the can! Yes! It's raining like crazy as I sit and dry up together with Maya the Very French Dog after a wet walk earlier. Roberto is bouncing the last track to hard disk and I just feel bloody euphoric.

On one hand making records is getting easier over the years, on the other, it's getting far more complicated. The making of "Organic" has been a breeze BUT it took a little more time than expected. Time is the keyword, as I believe I've written before. We haven't been working every single day since we started in August. "Organic" has been in constant progress though, figuring out how to "dress up" every tune in a fit manner. It feels damn good.

I guess we're looking at an April release, even in Scandinavia, where we thought we were going to be a little earlier. All freaky things to those who wait.

Next week we're off on a mini-tour with Bumblefoot in Holland, Switzerland and France before we start rehearsing all the new tunes for forthcoming gigs.

Old sins. The Fate album "Scratch 'n Sniff" (originally released by EMI) has been re-released after many hard-to-get years. I know some who have paid a small fortune to get it. If you want to hear a 19-20-year-old me taking it away through a Sharp tape recorder, get the CD from MTM records. Per, Bjarne and Peter, my former band dudes, are working on a new album and it's not totally unlikely I might do some guest playing on it.

Next week, Monday the 8th, we will master "Organic". It would have been done before but mastering master, so to speak, Dragan had to fly to Thailand and buy a new mixing console. I don't want to use anyone else after having gone through expensive weeks of anxiety when finding the right guy to nail "Freak Guitar - The Road Less Traveled". Some things are worth waiting for.

The running order will look like this:

1. Speak When Spoken To
2. The Rights to You
3. Look Bored
4. Chest Pain Waltz
5. Mussolini Mind
6. Guilt Trip
7. Becky
8. Independent Way of Life
9. Heal Me
10. Infidelity Ghost
11. Sob Story
12. Breathe
