Friday, December 12, 2003 - Iced Earth support band announced
Helsinki, Finland-based melodic power metallers Thunderstone have been confirmed as the opening band for Iced Earth on their upcoming European headlining tour.

Thunderstone's sophomore album, "The Burning" is due on January 12, 2004 through Nuclear Blast Records. The follow-up to last year's "Thunderstone" was recorded at Sonic Pump Studios in Helsinki with producer/guitarist Nino Laurenne and was mixed at Finnvox Studios with Mikko Karmila (Nightwish, Children of Bodom). Included on the CD is a guest appearance by Symphony X guitarist Michael Romeo on the track "Drawn To The Flame". A couple of samples from the new album are available here.
