Monday, January 27, 2003 - Nevermore To Work With Ex-Queensrÿche Guitarist On Upcoming CD
Nevermore are set to enter a Seattle studio shortly with producer Kelly Gray (QUEENSRYCHE, SLAVE TO THE SYSTEM, DOKKEN) to begin recording the much-anticipated follow-up to 2000's "Dead Heart in a Dead World".
The forthcoming CD, tentatively titled "Enemies Of Reality" may or may not be mixed by acclaimed British producer Andy Sneap (MACHINE HEAD, STUCK MOJO, SKINLAB), who worked with the band during the "Dead Heart." sessions.

"It looks like Nevermore are tracking the next album with Kelly Gray in Seattle," Sneap confirmed in an online posting. "I may be mixing it, I may not, all depends what they want to do. It's not that either party wanted to do it differently this time around, just due to schedules clashing and the label keeping the budget low due to it being their last one for Century Media."

The Seattle-based group, who feature in their ranks former members of the popular '80s power metal act Sanctuary, spent much of the last year fighting with Century Media over budget- and promotion-related issued pertaining to the forthcoming release, which marks the band's last CD for Century Media under their current five-album contract with the label.

Nevermore, considered by many to be one of Century Media's top acts, are believed to be entertaining offers from several other record companies, including Nuclear Blast Records, who are said to have the inside track to sign the group following the expiration of their current agreement.

Among the cuts that are tentatively set to appear on "Enemies Of Reality" are the following:

The Story Of Our End
Who Decides
The Song Of The Solemn One
Enemies Of Reality
Psychotic Intellectual Narcotic
Tomorrow Turned Into Yesterday
Abomination

A late 2003 release through Century Media is expected.
