Archrival - In The Face Of Danger (Reissue) Friday, February 26, 2010 Apparently an album that features great musicianship and good vocals is worth a low, slightly above average grade. Albums that feature out of tune vocals or manic depressive guitarists that talk about peace and humanity while staging their own stabbing to attract media attention and babble through their solos, while the drummer steadily plays are worth higher grades. Obviously the staff at revelationZ, must have a personal agenda- just like the chaps at the Brit magazines that wont review these albums, or like the chap at roadrunnermouth that will not post news.... or have never played a guitar in their life... either way....
Ah - you have to love show business and "blogger-types" who act on a Journalistic capacity.
Why not a 3 ? Seriously.
This product has superior packaging - and the 3 to 5 camera DVD is anything but AVERAGE ! Obviously material shot in the 00's it's gonna be better, but this is proshot !
Also the cover - has selective UV coating and is carved/relief like - but you fail to mention that just because you find the cover not to your liking. I suppose a bad case of photoshop would be a lot more fitting !
Oh and if you find any sex and drug references in the lyrics - please inform us ! We cannot really find any for some reason? Steve might be a bad@#@ singer - but he's no hair metal poseur. (no disrespect to those guys too - as some where fine fine singers.)
You fail to mention maybe the albums best piece - Can you tell me why ? Ehm - do i need to find more flaws ?
We will not sit idly and take $%#$ from anyone.
We need to fight this.
We 'll throw money into these bands, no matter if people don't get it - no matter if all promoters see are $ signs, no matter if half of the reviewers confuse arch rival with arch enemy..... no matter if we 've not released the albums digitally - yet 9/10 people on rateyourmusic.com have stolen them. You see - apparently - companies are swimming in money - selling about 2000 copies at best these days... thankfully - people with working ears - and a real appreciation for art and other people's hard work are still buying the albums....
but yeah - i say - let's buy a well known bands latest and not so good album - that usually also gets a cover and a lengthy interview... nice herdish mentality. Thankfully, most of those albums do tank.
Michael Harris is a superior guitarist to 90 % of the people out there and that comes from a guitar player.
His abilities are great and he doesn't exactly copy someone's style. Yet much lesser players have signature models... ah well, you have to laugh at that... and how "the biz" operates.
Will not bia$#%#$ any longer ! Got more important things to do.
I 'd suggest that you go and award a mediocre power metal played on 4/4 with eunuch vocals an 8/10, because
that probably is METAL !!! \m/ Horns up please ! \m/
Archrival - In The Face Of Danger (Reissue) Friday, February 26, 2010 Not to mention, it took you what 1,5 month to do this review ? Very timely, indeed ! Somehow i see most other reviews are quite current ! But then there aren't a lot and i cannot begin but to speculate why.
Also spare us a typical, carefully worded - we didn't do that, and we didn't do, this formulaic response. You might say that you have done only certain reviews, etc etc... and can only be held accountable for your. I don't disagree - but that wouldn't speak volumes about your collaborators then.
We don't want to dictate a grade - we just want a fair review - and we think that the correlation between what you write and what you grade the album with, shows some bias.
Below is a trailer of that AVERAGE dvd, in LQ.

Archrival - In The Face Of Danger (Reissue) Friday, February 26, 2010 oh and btw - there's no mention of the Beatles cover - "Revolution", which i guess is worth mentioning, for your readers sake and information.
I now have some business to attend to...
looking forward to a "serious" response.
