Wednesday, October 17, 2007 - Cage - King Diamond tribute song online
Cage have posted their original King Diamond tribute song (called 'King Diamiond') on their official band MySpace page.

The song is an homage to all things King Diamond/MERCYFUL FATE and is a bonus track on the - Hell Destroyer CD versions released in Europe (MTM Music); Mexico (Asenath Records) and Central America / South America (Dynamo Records).

Vocalist Sean Peck states "We wanted to pay tribute to the King and thought that all CAGE and KING DIAMOND fans would enjoy it. Personally, I am a big King Diamond fan and this is my and the band's way of paying tribute to some of his past killer recorded works. The song is written in the spirit of King Diamond's music and name checks characters from the Melissa, Abigail and Them cds. The song is the first track we ever performed live in Mexico from the Hell Destroyer CD and has been going over great live at all of our gigs! We love seeing all the people chant King Diamond at the end of the song!"

My god, Cage is at the top of their game right now.

Sean Peck is definitely one of the best vocalists in metal right now, and is without a doubt the best in the Halford style.

If you listen to the new Cage album and the listen to the new Iced Earth you realize why a guy like Owens will never take a band to its full potential. Compared to Peck almost all Halford sound-alikes are one trick singers that never developed their own style.
