Friday, November 19, 2010 - Rush Announce UK Tour
Canadian rock legends Rush will bring their revered three-and-a-half-hour "Time Machine" tour to the U.K. - with shows in Glasgow, Sheffield, Manchester, Newcastle, Birmingham and London - this coming May 2011.

The "Time Machine" tour is an evening with Rush, where they will perform their classics, give a taste of the future and will - for the first time ever in the U.K. - feature the "Moving Pictures" album live in its entirety.

"'Moving Pictures" is our most popular album and it's the one that seems to have passed the test of time most gracefully," observes singer/bassist Geddy Lee. "We're playing better than ever, and I'm not sure we're quite ready to put that tour away," he adds.

Rush's 2011 U.K. dates are as follows:

May 14 - Glasgow - SECC
May 16 - Sheffield - Motorpoint Arena
May 19 - Manchester - MEN Arena
May 21 - Newcastle - Metro Radio Arena
May 22 - Birmingham - LG Arena
May 25 - London - O2

Tickets go on sale on Friday, November 26 at 9:00 a.m. GMT

Sunday, January 21, 2007 - Rush album news
On Monday (January 15th), Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson spoke with Canada's Rock Station about the new album. Alex states the band came to LA on Monday, January 15th to mix album and should be done by the end of the month. The album took only 30 days to record, the shortest time they have taken to record an album since A Farewell To Kings. Andrew MacNaughtan has been video taping the entire project, with the possibility of including a making of DVD. The band plans on launching a North American tour on June 12th or 13th, running through the end of the year, to be followed by dates in Europe and South America. When asked about the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Lifeson states "I couldn't care less, look who's up for induction, its a joke". Monday, April 10, 2006 - Rush news
Billboard.com is reporting that three vintage Rush home videos will make their DVD debut as part of the boxed set "Rush Replay X 3", due June 13 via Mercury/UME. The collection will include 1982's "Exit ... Stage Left", 1985's "Grace Under Pressure" and 1991's "A Show of Hands", plus a previously unreleased audio CD version of "Grace Under Pressure". Guitarist Alex Lifeson created new stereo mixes for the releases, which are presented in 5.1 Surround Sound. Tour booklets from the three concerts have also been reprinted for the set.

Filmed in 1981 in Montreal, "Exit ... Stage Left" spotlights Rush in its early career heyday as it performs such tracks as "Red Barchetta", "YYZ", "Tom Sawyer", "Limelight" and "Closer to the Heart".

"Grace Under Pressure" was taped in Rush's Toronto homebase and blends hits like "New World Man" and "The Spirit of Radio" with more uncommon fare like "Witch Hunt", "The Enemy Within" and "The Weapon". The latter track is accompanied by a video featuring actor Joe Flaherty as his "SCTV" character Count Floyd.

"A Show of Hands" was taped in 1988 in Birmingham, England, and was issued in tandem with a live album of the same name. Peart's nightly drum solo appears here for the first time on an official release. Other highlights include "Turn the Page", "Marathon" and a closing medley of "2112"/"La Villa Strangiato"/"In the Mood".
