Thursday, October 21, 2010 - Nocturnal Rites Issue New Album Update
Long running Swedish power metal band Nocturnal Rites have released the following information about their new album:

"We are currently writing songs for the new album and rehearsing for the gig at the Sabaton Cruise in Stockholm on December 2nd. The song-writing is going well we have lots of new material for our ninth studio album. We have some really dark and aggressive stuff written as well as some more melodic, so this new album will definitely cater to all aspects of the Nocturnal Rites legacy!

We also played some live shows with our new guitarist Chris Rörland. This guy really did a great job, entering the stage for the first time as a new member of the band and he kicked ass from the beginning to the end! Not showing any fear at all, he just went for it, crazy but still being 100% professional. Even after a few shows it feels like he's been in the band for ages. So we are extremely happy.

And we would also like to thank everyone who came to see us on our gigs since we started playing again. A big thanks to you all!!

More news to follow! Keep your eyes and ears open for upcoming songs, live shows, recording session and release."

Tuesday, November 23, 2004 - Nocturnal Rites news
Nocturnal Rites and Century Media are proud to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the beloved Power Metal band with a double-CD set containing their first two albums, to be released on February 21st, 2005. The debut album "In A Time Of Blood And Fire" was released in 1995 on Megarock Records but was only available in small quantities. Two years later the boys from Sweden's northern rock city Umea released their second opus "Tales Of Mystery And Imagination" in Japan (re-released in the rest of the world with different cover artwork on Century Media a year later). Both albums have been out of print for a long time and will be gathered on the new 2CD "Lost In Time: The Early Years of Nocturnal Rites " along with some rare bonus tracks and special re-recordings with their current vocalist Jonny Lindqvist, who replaced old singer Anders Zackrisson on their fourth album "Afterlife" in 2000. The booklet features liner notes from bass player Nils Eriksson, along with the original cover artworks and lyrics.
