Friday, April 9, 2010 - Watchtower - New Song Streaming
Watchtower have released a preliminary mix of a song from their upcoming album 'Mathematics', now streaming exclusively on their MySpace page at www.myspace.com/officialwatchtower.  The song features the line-up from the legendary 'Control and Resistance' album, with Alan Tecchio (vocals) joining Ron Jarzombek (guitar), Doug Keyser (bass),  and Rick Colaluca (drums) on this special release of 'The Size of Matter', track number eight on 'Mathematics.'

Engineered and mixed by Ron Jarzombek, with vocals mixed by Jon 'Jonny Rod' Ciorciari and mastering done by Jacob Hansen (BLOTTED SCIENCE, VOLBEAT, DESTRUCTION), 'The Size of Matter' marks the band's first new piece of original music since 1989's 'Control and Resistance.'  According to Keyser, "'Mathematics' is a natural evolution of the style on our previous records, with all of the craziness 'Tower fans would expect.  We really wanted to make this special version of the song available in advance of our festival appearance and we look forward to premiering it live for some of the most die-hard fans anywhere."

WATCHTOWER will be performing on April 23rd at the Keep It True Festival in Lauda-Koenigshofen, Germany, the band's first European show since headlining the Headway Festival in Holland in 2004.

Thursday, December 2, 2004 - New Watchtower album
Watchtower / Spastic Ink guitarist Ron Jarzombeck has posted the following update at the official Spastic Ink website regarding the highly anticipated WatchTower comeback album, Mathematics:

"During the past several months, Watchtower has been tweaking the music and finishing up lyrics for the next CD. Last weekend, Rick [Colaluca, drums] went into Melody Ranch studios here in San Antonio, and recorded drums for the first half of the songs. The rest of us will record our tracks in our own home studios. The plan is to complete the first half of the songs, then begin shopping the CD while the rest of the material is being recorded. About a tentative release date...don't even ask. I have a timetable in my head that I'm following, but I don't want to get into any of that for obvious reasons."

Outside of his WatchTower commitments, Jarzombek is working on a death/extreme metal project with "two killer musicians" from the genre. He will be revealing more about the project in the near future.

Finally anyone interested in hearing the insane prog-metal stylings of Spastic Ink can go to this location to hear some audio samples.
