Monday, April 26, 2004 - New York Dolls tribute album to be released in June | FastLane Records and CD Smash Records are finishing up their tribute to the New York Dolls titled Jetboys of Babylon. This will be a power-packed, all-star line-up to say the least. We have also acquired the services of The New York Dolls frontman himself, the legendary David Johansen, has re-recorded Babylon with NJ's Frankenstein 300 featuring Keith Roth. The band Flipp with Steve Jones from the Sex Pistols cover Personality Crisis and The Alarm take on Jet Boy.
This great tribute also will include the hottest new bands on the scene today including: Crash Kelly/Slow Motorcade/Blackbird/R50/The New Romantics/The IVs/Trigger/Barely Pink/Ky Anto(from Robin Black & The IRS)/Science Fiction Idols..and more. Nina Antonia author of the New York Dolls autobiography Too Much To Soon will be writing the liner notes.Slated for a June release. · Discuss this news further (0) |
