Tuesday, November 28, 2006 - New Dead Soul Tribe album.
"I changed my mind about making a double album. To me, it was an ambitious thought but probably a senseless business move. With all of today's downloading, it is becoming increasingly difficult for independent bands to keep running, selling enough to keep the bands in some sort of recording deal. Therefore it seems a bit risky to put out an album that is even more expensive, like a double disc set would inevitably have to be. Instead, I have taken what I consider the very best of the best between the two discs, and just put out the strongest record possible."- Devon Graves.

The album will be called A Lullaby for the Devil. It will sound quite a bit different than the previous Dead Soul albums, in that the songs are generally much faster paced, and quite a bit more, progressive, quite a bit more aggressive, and quite a bit more Metal.

There are also some songs which would have been on the "calmer" disc, which have a smokey, more experimental ambience. There is also a particularly noteworthy instrumental composed for lead flute. The album will have about 60 minutes running time, and should be released around April 2007 on InsideOut.

Friday, October 7, 2005 - New Dead Soul Tribe album
Dead Soul Tribe will release their fourth album, "The Dead Word", on November 11 via InsideOut Music. Described by Graves as "the most pleasurable project I have ever put together," the CD is also "the fastest album I have ever made," he said. "Just a few days over a month from the first tracking session to the final mix. At the same time, it is probably the most polished production out of the four albums." Wednesday, January 22, 2003 - Dead Soul Tribe news
The follwing was posted by Devon at The Official Site

If it has been some time since anyone has been hearing from DST, it is because we have been in the Dead Soul Temple creating the second album. It will be called "A Murder of Crows".

Here you can see Adel behind the drums and me behind the console trying to get that special take that will make the album. Adel has been patiently taking my abuse throughout these endless sessions, and has worked very, very hard to please me, and you. Now all the drums are completed and I will be finishing the rest of the tracks throughout December and January. "A Murder of Crows" will be released in March-April of 2003 on Insideout Music and should be followed by a Europe tour sometime around June. As the CD takes form, I may put some song clips on MP3 to give you a taste.

Cheers!
Devon

Other information
Dead Soul Tribe is a new progressive metal band from the mind of Psychotic Waltz singer Buddy Lackey. The style is very strange and it is one of those bands you have to listen to many times, before you get to like the music.

Dead Soul Tribe have only released one album, the self titled "Dead Soul Tribe" released in 2002. It is a great and very progressive metal album. If you like the complexity of Psychotic Waltz and Pain Of Salvation, this would be a band for you, I would think.
