The Ring - Tales From Midgard
The Ring do for me what few Power Metal bands have done for the past two years...make me listen!

It's all here. Killer clean vocals, catchy hooks, and excellent songwriting! Just pretend the cheesy album cover isn't there and the yet again Lord Of The Rings theme is something new and you have a nearly flawless Epic Power Metal album.

The freaky thing is that the drummer is the singer! He's on par with the big boys too...Kiske, Dio, Coverdale, Plant, Jorn Lande, Andy Deris to just name a few. That being said he can play the crap outta the drums as well. He knows exactly what to play for each song and he knows exactly what to sing....it's just freaking amazing is all I can say!

The guitar work is top notch as well as the noticeable and tasty bass playing.... they have it all down to a science.
The album sound is warm, full and clear which just helps the whole album shine that much more.

So if you like vocal harmonies, guitar reminiscent of early Dio, Helloween, and Ozzy and songs that are as memorable too then check this album out post haste!
Need I say more? Don't think so!

Just DL the MP3 from Scarlet Records web site and you'll know of what i speak....every song is as good as that one and there is no filler.
Go to the "releases" section of the site and click on the Ring's album cover and you can download "In The Beginning" Enjoy!
