Thursday, September 18, 2003 - Ten news | Gary Hughes, singer of the UK based melodic rock band TEN spoke to BW&BK recently about the band's upcoming album which, if all goes well, will be released in February 2004.
"I finished recording my solo record, Once And Future King, in May and we began the pre-production for the new Ten record in June. It's sounding great and we're all really pleased with it. There's a great camaraderie in the band now, and potentially it's the best record we've done. Bringing a new guitarist into the band, Chris Francis (who replaces Vinny Burns) has proven to be very good for us. My solo record is a great showcase for Chris because he shines all over the place, and I was keen on having people hear him on something other than a Ten record first so that the comparisons to Vinny won't be as extreme."
"We've got mixing dates for the album set for the beginning of November, so on that basis we'll be finished by the end of the month and have the record out by February."
