Thursday, July 21, 2011 - Full Album Due From Osukaru | The Swedish / American AOR outfit OSUKARU is now laying down the final touches for their debut full-length album "Salvation" with release by the end of October via City Of Lights Records (A division of Rock It Up Records). During the early stages of the recording there were, once again, some line-up changes which resulted in the new keyboard player Carl Dahlberg and the new singer Chris Tiann.
As with the two previous OSUKARU releases, Oz Osukaru is doing the album artwork and once again the Swedish model Isabelle Högbacka is featured on it.
With the new album being released, OSUKARU will hit the road to support it. The first show confirmed is the official release party which will be held at sea, at the Rockbitch Halloween Cruise between Stockholm (Sweden) and Riga (Latvia) October 29th-31st. There will also be a 2nd release party a few weeks later in their hometown of Gothenburg.
"We have finally started to rehearse for live shows. The numerous line-up changes made it difficult to enter the rehearsing studio as a full band but now we are hungry and really wanna take our songs to the stage."
A new single will be released by September. What song to be released is at this point not yet decided but its cover artwork and title as well as a full album song-list is yet to be announced. |

Comments: 166 | | I though Carl Johan was a decent vocalist. Though I do have to admit his vocal style brought some limitations to Oz's material on the previous Ep's. Out Of Touch is the one that stands out in my mind where Carl would fit in seamlessly and then in another passages it just did not work well together.
Is anyone familiar with their new vocalist Tiann?
