Friday, May 13, 2011 - Love, Power And Peace Charity Single
LovePower and Peace is the debut single from the new album by Robin George's  LovePower, 100% in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
 
It features Ruby Turner, Jaki Graham and The LovePower Band who are
Pete Haycock (The Climax Blues Band), Charlie Morgan (Elton John Band),Mel Collins (King Crimson), Jacquie Williams (Sister Sledge),
Charley Charlesworth (Dangerous Music) and Robin George (Phil Lynott).
 
And there's more: Vix (Fuzzbox), Freya Copeland (Emmerdale), Geri Minelli and
The Women in Music International Choir, 200 school children from choirs all over England and Ken Hensley (Uriah Heep) on Hammond Organ. Artwork is by the fabulous Andie Airfix.
 
The entire proceeds from the single, dedicated to Macmillan Cancer Support , will go directly to this charity to aid their fantastic work and to celebrate their centenary.
The LovePower and Peace single is taken from their new album of the same name and it's a showcase of all that is good and great in the music industry. Talented and creative artists have produced something real and original - and from the heart. It features 60 world class musicians; Arthur Brown, Daniel Boone, John Wetton and artists from bands such as The Rolling Stones, UFO, Hanoi Rocks, Asia and Motor Head. They are all united by the desire to put something back.
Robin George, who has spent over two years working on this immense project, commented, 'This has been a real Labour of LovePower.  All the time and talent poured into this mission has been heart-warming, to say the least. We are all honoured to be working with such fabulous musicians for such deserving causes.'
